I Spy

When I take the time to play I Spy with myself,
I am never disappointed.

I spy with my little eye...
two little boys playing in our very own winter wonderland!

What is it that they are playing?

I spy them sneaking along the back wall of the garage...

I spy them peeking around the corner of the garage...

I spy an airsoft gun in the older one's hand...

I spy him taking aim with backup at his right shoulder...

I spy more relaxed forms...

I spy the gun lowered...

And I spy the escape!

I don't have to guess what these two are pretending.
Even before Matthew gets to the window and tells me, I know.

"I'm Reed, and Josh is Malloy!"

A little over a month ago, we discovered Adam-12 on Netflix.
Seven whole seasons of Reed and Malloy!
Almost every evening, we sit together as a family and watch the next half-hour adventure of our two favorite police officers.

The added bonus is the hours of pretend that it brings to brothers.

Right now...
It is 12:16 pm on Monday.
We just got home from sledding down the big hill at the park.  The boys are outside now on our hill making just the right sledding trail before it melts.
I'm warming up leftover pizza and putting the finishing touches on my grocery list.  Monday is not my favorite day to do the grocery shopping, but if I go right after lunch and take the boys with me, then we are able to knock out the trip on less than an hour.  Josh and Matthew take turns going with William for specific items.  It makes the trip go a whole lot faster than if I'm by myself.  And, by going after lunch, we beat the work crowd and even get a parking place close to the door.

Time to call the boys in for lunch.
Happy Monday!
