If you think that homeschooling
at the elementary level is tough,
just wait until high school.
I'm not talking about teaching
upper level math and lab sciences.
I'm talking about fielding the questions about
upper level math and lab sciences.
Not to mention the questions about grading and transcripts and college acceptance...
I have suffered from a severe case of complete inadequacy when answering those questions.
Because I have asked those same questions.
Then, I hear the sweet voice of my loving God saying,
Don't be afraid, for I am with you.
Don't be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.
(Isaiah 41:10)
That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses,
and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles
that I suffer for Christ.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.
(2 Corinthians 12:10)
I'm pretty excited about Him strengthening and holding me in His victorious right hand, but I have to tell you that I am still trying to take pleasure in my weaknesses instead of being completely frustrated to tears by them.
Then there are days like this...
Chemistry lab...at home.
Complete with assistants and a lab notebook.
It can be done.
Why?
Not because of parenting skills or upper-level education.
But because God called us.
And because He called us, He equipped us.
Equipped?
- Supplied with the necessary items for a particular purpose.
- Prepared (someone) mentally for a particular situation or task.
Resting...seriously resting...in Him and what He has planned for this family,
